CAMEO stands for Come And Meet Each Other. 

This is a Notice Board for members wishing to advertise an event or activity they would rather not do alone that day, or any time. It is aimed at members who may not always want to meet in a larger group to do an activity or attend an event.

It is hoped that it will help members to form friendships and to boost confidence. It will normally be for events that do not fit into any of our existing groups, although it may run alongside an existing group; for example someone may wish to practise their language skills, practise playing mahjong, go out for afternoon tea, or just walk their dog with someone.

We have meetings to discuss ideas and to help people get to know one another. We also use a WhatsApp Community Group for the group coordinators to post requests from members who are interested in an activity or to find others who would like to take part. We would then put those members in touch with one another, but at that point they will be responsible for all the arrangements regarding the activity or event.

In accordance with GDPR we ask everyone who joins the group to agree to allow their contact details to be shared with other group members.
