This is a a new group which started in May 2023.

At the moment, the group meets at Birch Hill Community centre on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month within the Canasta, Rummikub group.

The group is teaching themselves to play using the u3a subject advisors Beginners guide to Mahjong.

New members are very welcome as we would like the group to grow.

Mahjong is a game for 2,3 or 4 players and in its present form is most closely linked to Rummy. 
The game is believed to date back to the Han Dynasty, 202BC -220AD
and has evolved in China, Japan, New Zealand, USA and the UK.
